Citi Aikido Cebu Aikikai Hombu Dojo Japan Trip

By admin on July 26, 2023July 26, 2023

Greetings, Aikido practitioners! We are excited to share the great experience that Citi Aikido Cebu had recently during our tour to Japan's renowned Aikikai Hombu Dojo. It was an unforgettable tour full of study, companionship, and a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with Doshu Ueshiba himself! 🌟

As our Aikido practitioners from Cebu, Philippines, went on this pilgrimage to the center of Aikido - Aikikai Hombu Dojo - the anticipation and enthusiasm were apparent. The trip was about more than just seeing the birthplace of our beloved martial art; it was also about immersing ourselves in the profound teachings that continue to impact the Aikido world.

When we arrived at the dojo, we were greeted cordially by the resident instructors and other Aikido practitioners from throughout the world. The international Aikido community's spirit of solidarity was incredibly amazing, overcoming language barriers and cultural divides.

The opportunity to meet and train with Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba, the heir to Aikido's founder, Morihei Ueshiba, was unquestionably the highlight of our vacation. His demeanor radiated knowledge, humility, and a strong affinity for the spirit of Aikido. Each action he performed felt effortless and harmonious, leaving us in awe of his ability.

Doshu Ueshiba highlighted the necessity of merging with the energy of our partners during the training sessions, going beyond physical techniques to embrace Aikido's concept of harmony and love for all beings. His remarks touched our hearts and acted as a beacon of light on our Aikido journey.

But the most memorable event was when Doshu Ueshiba graciously allowed us to take a group portrait with him. It was a moment of pure joy and a testimonial to the transnational relationship that Aikido fosters among practitioners from all over the world.

As we return to Cebu, the knowledge and lessons of Aikikai Hombu Dojo nourish our hearts and minds. The experience has renewed our dedication to the Aikido path, and we are excited to share our gained knowledge and insights with our fellow practitioners back home.

We are grateful to Doshu Ueshiba and all of the instructors at Aikikai Hombu Dojo for their kindness and guidance. This incredible adventure has permanently humbled and inspired us.

Here's to Aikido's spirit of self-discovery, harmony, and camaraderie! 🌟πŸ₯‹πŸ€
