O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba - Aikido Founder

Aikido (Japanese: 合気道 ), a martial art that stresses using energy to overcome an opponent rather than employing force, was created by Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969). His lectures were motivated by his spiritual convictions, and he advocated for the search of harmony and inner tranquility. Ueshiba was well-known for both his extraordinary physical prowess and his nonviolent stance. Ueshiba is regarded as one of the most significant figures in the history of martial arts, and now, Aikido is practiced all over the world.

Moriteru Ueshiba, Third and Current Doshu

Moriteru Ueshiba (born 1951) is the current Aikido Doshu or supreme leader of the Aikido world. He is the grandson of Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido, and the son of Kisshomaru Ueshiba, the second Doshu. Moriteru Ueshiba has dedicated his entire life to the practice of aikido, which he learned at an early age. As Doshu, he has sought to spread awareness of Aikido throughout the world and has underlined the significance of modernizing the art. He is renowned for having a composed and modest manner, and his visionary leadership has influenced the development of Aikido in the contemporary day.
