O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba - Aikido Founder
Aikido (Japanese: 合気道 ), a martial art that stresses using energy to overcome an opponent rather than employing force, was created by Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969). His lectures were motivated by his spiritual convictions, and he advocated for the search of harmony and inner tranquility. Ueshiba was well-known for both his extraordinary physical prowess and his nonviolent stance. Ueshiba is regarded as one of the most significant figures in the history of martial arts, and now, Aikido is practiced all over the world.
Moriteru Ueshiba, Third and Current Doshu
Moriteru Ueshiba (born 1951) is the current Aikido Doshu or supreme leader of the Aikido world. He is the grandson of Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido, and the son of Kisshomaru Ueshiba, the second Doshu. Moriteru Ueshiba has dedicated his entire life to the practice of aikido, which he learned at an early age. As Doshu, he has sought to spread awareness of Aikido throughout the world and has underlined the significance of modernizing the art. He is renowned for having a composed and modest manner, and his visionary leadership has influenced the development of Aikido in the contemporary day.


Mitsuteru Ueshiba, Dojocho Aikikai Hombu
Mitsuteru Ueshiba, son of the current Doshu (Moriteru Ueshiba), is the Dojocho at Aikikai Hombu Dojo. Continuing the Ueshiba family's leadership in Aikido, he upholds traditional teachings while adapting to modern practices. Mitsuteru Sensei is crucial in preserving the integrity and global presence of Aikikai Aikido, emphasizing the principles of harmony, discipline, and spiritual growth.
Hiroshi Fujimaki Shihan, 7th Dan Aikikai
Hiroshi Fujimaki is a highly skilled martial artist who has the 7th dan rank in the Japanese martial art of Aikido. He has devoted more than 40 years of his life to the study and teaching of Aikido, and he has earned a solid reputation in the martial arts world. It is well known that Fujimaki Sensei teaches using a dynamic approach that emphasizes the value of merging with an opponent's energy and harnessing it to produce powerful techniques. He has had considerable training in Japan and has also imparted his profound understanding and love of Aikido to students from all over the world while teaching in the Philippines, the United States, and Europe.


Aikido Philippines
Citi Aikido Cebu is affiliated with Aikido Philippines (Aiki-Phil) . Aikido Philippines gained recognition as an accredited Aikido organization under the Aikikai Hombu Dojo on November 21, 1992. The previous Doshu, the late Kisshomaru Ueshiba, signed the certificate of recognition.
At present Aikido Philippines is being headed by the dojo heads which they form themselves to become the Central Committee of Aikido Philippines and appointed Cris Buenaseda, 6th dan, as its chief instructor.
